Eagles Seal 10-Wicket Win Over Tuskers

EAGLES secured a comfortable 10-wicket victory over Tuskers on Day 4 of their Logan Cup match played at Queens Sports Club today. The match ended quickly after the Eagles chased a small target of 16 runs in just four overs without losing a wicket.

Earlier in the match, the Eagles put themselves in a strong position after declaring their first innings on 351 for 8. Craig Ervine led the batting with an excellent unbeaten 116. He was well supported by Tinashe Kamunhukamwe who scored 77, while captain Faraz Akram added 54 runs. For Tuskers, Ernest Masuku was the best bowler, taking five wickets.

Tuskers struggled in their first innings and were bowled out for only 95 runs. Kudakwashe Macheka bowled very well, taking five wickets for 21 runs to give the Eagles a big lead. After being forced to follow on, Tuskers improved in their second innings and scored 271 runs. Bright Phiri top-scored with 82, while Luke Jongwe made 57.

However, the total left the Eagles needing only 16 runs to win. Openers Tinashe Kamunhukamwe and Rodney Mupfudza easily chased the runs, both finishing unbeaten on eight as the Eagles sealed a strong victory on the final
